The subconscious can turn the bread you eat into bone. It’s one powerful system! What else can it do?

The subconscious:
-It’s habitual. It monitors the operations of the body like heart rate, breathing, digestion etc.
-It sees the world through the 5 senses (seeing, feeling, hearing, smelling and tasting.)
-Holds your long-term memory-stores past experiences, beliefs, attitudes and values but functions in the now.
-It’s timeless. Past traumas are still current.
-It’s focused on present only but uses past learning to perform current functions like driving, talking walking etc.
-Processes 40 million bits of information per second and completes thousands of tasks at the same time.
-It’s programmable but only with certain methods, not just with conscious thoughts.

When you understand the power of the subconscious and find out that you can change that power house to work for you, instead of against you, watch out world! Now, the subconscious isn’t really working against you, it just runs whatever programs it has until you delete the code so to speak and update the program to something new. Something that would serve you better.

What type of programming in your subconscious mind could hurt you? How about some of these? No matter what I do or how hard I try, it’s never good enough. The decisions I make usually turn out wrong. If people knew the real me they wouldn’t like me. I blame others (boss, spouse, parents, children etc.) for my problems. I shouldn’t try anything new or risky because I’ll probably screw it up. It’s not safe to ask others to help me because I can’t trust them to do the job right. My opinion doesn’t really matter. What I do isn’t really important.

If you are having thoughts like these or outcomes like these, it might be time to update your programming. When you do, you can get out of your own way and accomplish all your wildest dreams.

I’m not talking about positive thoughts or affirmations to change your programming, I’m talking about rewriting the neuropathways in your brain. Sound scary? Not to worry, it’s not! The first step in reprogramming your mind is to find out what you want. Most of us know what we don’t like and don’t want but what DO we want. Decide what you want and write your statements out in a language your subconscious can understand. Make your statements short, present tense, positively stated, and emotionally meaningful. Some examples are: I deeply appreciate and accept myself. I love myself unconditionally. I am confident and self-assured. I am a diving being having a human experience. My sense of safety and security in the world comes from within. I am worthy of an intimate, passionate relationship. I am willing to risk loving and being loved. It’s okay for me to want money and I do want it!

While these may sound like positive affirmations, they are actually statements you can program into your subconscious. The best way to change your subconscious beliefs is with a form of energy psychology. My favorite method of energy psychology is called PSYCH-K. It’s a quick and easy way to reprogram the subconscious using whole brain integration processes and other balance methods.
