I recently made an exciting discovery! I can change things about my life in just two minutes per day!

I’ve always had tight muscles. When I was young, maybe 6 years old, I got kicked out of gymnastics because I couldn’t touch my toes. I guess this was not a “just for fun” type of gymnastics class! When I met my best friend Kelli Russell who happens to be the best yoga teacher on the planet, I started going to yoga and getting stronger and more flexible and could touch my toes after a couple years of yoga. (Not that touching your toes is a requirement to success, just something I wanted to do.) I had a big setback in 2013 when I broke my back and was not able to exercise for 3 years! I’m so happy to be back to yoga now but I’ve lost the flexibility I had gained in yoga class before my accident. Now that I’ve been back to yoga for over a year I was hoping to see some more progress in my flexibility but it’s slow coming. I was thinking the other day, what could I do to get more flexible. I was thinking I could stretch more but when? When I watch TV maybe. Oh wait, I don’t watch TV. Well, when then? As I thought about the time commitment I started making excuses of why I could not stretch each day. But then I had a brilliant idea. I am at oatmeal addict. I eat it for breakfast every day. When I put the bowl in the microwave for two minutes, how about I just do a forward fold, bending forward with my head going towards the ground and letting my hamstrings stretch. I could fit that into my schedule! I’ve been consistent about my oatmeal forward folds for a week now and guess what? Yesterday when I went to yoga I could already see progress. I was so excited. Just two minutes a day and things were changing. It’s that daily consistency that is making a difference. It made me think. What else in my life do I want different. What would I, could I and will I commit two minutes per day to see change? I can do anything for two minutes!

What would you like to change in your life? Is there something you could do for just two minutes a day that would help you get closer to your goals and dreams? Please share, I’d love to hear.
