One of my amazing mentors, Dr. Jeffrey Fannin PhD, told me that training your brain is like training a dog.

I think of my sweet dog Cody who we never trained but should have.

He’s 11-years-old now and finally calming down enough to take out of the backyard to go for a walk!

You literally have to talk to your brain like you are training a dog.

To keep your mind clear or focused on what you want it to focus on, you can literally tell your brain, Sit, Stay…Stay, No! Sit, Stay, Good Brain!

Why is it so hard to control our thoughts?

So many times, it feels like our thoughts are controlling us.

And quite literally they are.
